buckton
spent 2 or 3 days with Mark.T at Buckton. Passage in full swing with all the usual migrants in good numbers plus the odd goodie. The dotterel was ridiculously tame, the wryneck daft, and the male wheatear the most beautiful I've ever seen.

Late August round-up.
Not an awful lot of nature time and thus not much photography, 'though all that is about to change with the next ten weeks in Canada. New England has become a bit pedestrian in terms of species - many just miss us all together - so I'm looking forward to the change.
The Osprey (with Striped Bass) flew close enough for me to hear it's wings beat.
Dad - It's going to be all on you to keep things on the blog ticking over whilst I'm away. It might mean we lose a certain sector of our target demographic, which in turn may collapse the sponsorship deal, and that will probably blow any chance the awards I know you badly crave. I'm sorry.
