First dragonfly for my pond plus first ever brimstone for the garden, plus wall brown, female above, male under

Common Terns, Gooseberry Island, Massachusetts.

I love how they are all wing, amazing.

Some banded on the left leg, some right, one both. Any idea why? My Canadian bander buddies all clamp the same leg (right).
