Stoke Newington Reservoirs, 2nd May
In the absence of being able to post photos of the bigger winged beasts ('technical difficulties' which should be resolved by late 2009), at least there's moths eh? Last night signalled the virgin voyage of the shiny new Robinson trap, which I'm running from the garden of our office, by the East Reservoir here in Stoke Newington, Hackney.
Happily it attracted three moths of three species - a Small Quaker, and the Flame Shoulder and Knot Grass as pictured above.
