James Michael you are not alone, and jolly well done for feeding and mucking out our little corner of the 'tinterweb in our inexplicable absence. Rest assured such duties are now once again a shared experience.
A few random highlights from recent escapades in pursuit of an autumn that just wouldn't play nicely.
Common Buzzard over Hackney, late Oct
Tawny Pipit, Wryneck, Peregrine, Red-breasted Flycatcher - St. Agnes, Sep / Oct
Ring Ouzel, Chiffchaff, Rosy Starling, Steppe Grey Shrike, Yellow-browed Warbler - St. Agnes ('cept the Shrike, which was on St. Mary's - stupid bird)
Treecreeper and Jack Snipe, the Cape of No Hope (Oct 2009)
P.S some very lovely recent photos Mick, particularly the Yellow-brow and SEO; they almost make up for the extreme abject dullness of the moths (hur hur hur)
much much more of all the above thrills n' spills over at Northern Rustic...
