Due to the torrential storm which had only slightly abated, after breakfast we abandoned plans to re-visit Merritt Island , and headed inland towards Sanford and after 15/20 miles there was no rain and the sun started to appear, so we spent an enjoyable few hours in some varied habitat. A pleasant end to a great trip with 2 very caring and considerate companions. My favourite people.
- Right back at ya old bean, I had a great time.

Final Morning.

Day 7

DAY 6

Motored nw across the more "remote" areas s and e of Lake Kissimee, stopping regularly. Finally arrived back in Titusville around 5.30pm, but rain curtailed any further birding, so spent the evening packing for tomorrow's flight. By 8pm, the rain was accompanied by thunder and lightning, and 5 INCHES fell in a 12 hour period - "biblical proportions" would be an understatement.
